Deer Season in Nebraska can be one of the most rewarding times a deer hunter can spend in the deer woods. In the early bow season, most hunting is done near food sources - trying to cut off the deer between the food and the bedding. As mid to late October and the pre-rut start, hunting can still be done near food sources, or also in heavier wooded areas where deer may be eating acorns and starting to define their territory. As November hits, and the rut starts, traveling corridors and funnels are great places to ambush a deer. Some of the biggest deer we harvest is mid-day. After the rut, and in late season it's back to the food sources.
